Merima excels in workplace safety

The Association of Technology Industry has organized a working environment analysis conducted in Finnish mechanical industry companies since 2002. The aim of the analysis was to increase the development pace of working environment, comfort, safety and productivity in the businesses under scrutiny. This year 103 companies participated in the assessments out of which 72 companies participated in the actual MET Haastamme competition.

Merima Ltd was ranked winner in Metal Products Industry category.

This year’s analysis was a follow up to the competition MET Haastamme conducted in 2002-2005, during which the level of working environment security rose remarkably among participating companies. Merima first participated in the competition in 2004. In year 2005 Merima was ranking 3rd in its category. The next round was in 2006 and Merima already achieved 2nd place. The positive development has continued to date and now the 1st place award was received.

The analysis was based on Elmeri measuring tool and the relation of absence days and accidents from the previous year. Merima Ltd received a certificate of honor for its achievement in an event organized by The Association of Technology Industry 11.11.2011.
