If you’re energized by precision, structure, and the challenge of building winning offers — we’re hiring one new talent, and the exact role level will be based on your skills and experience. At Merima, we don’t just submit proposals — we shape strategies that drive shipyard-wide success. As part of our sales and marketing team, you’ll work closely with customers and suppliers, internally with procurement, planning, and leadership, supporting or leading proposals that are competitive, risk-optimized, and aligned with our high delivery standards. Whether you’re a rising talent ready to grow or a specialist ready to lead, this is your opportunity to join a team where ownership, and proactive thinking set the standard.
What you’ll do
Depending on your experience and role level, you will:
- Develop and deliver structured, competitive, and risk-mitigated customer proposals.
- Forecast procurement support needs and coordinate structured RFQ packages for sourcing.
- Analyse and challenge customer RFP documents, technical inputs, and supplier offers.
- Drive lean bid processes, adopting modern tools and automation to improve proposal speed and quality.
- Ensure compliance with financial, contractual, and legal requirements in all bids.
- Document and report proposals systematically, maintaining transparency and traceability.
- Support internal cross-functional collaboration to enhance bid success rates.
What we offer
- A clear development path — from Junior Specialist to Specialist and onward.
- Mentorship from experienced bid managers and sales leaders.
- Hands-on learning in large, complex international shipbuilding and superyacht projects.
- A fast-paced, supportive environment where efficiency, ownership, and proactive problem-solving are valued.
- Opportunities to adopt and develop modern bidding templates, tools, and methods.
What we’re looking for
Junior-level:
- Strong motivation to learn structured bidding, pricing, and risk analysis.
- Attention to detail, ability to organize work systematically, and curiosity toward technical and commercial project environments.
- Initial understanding of B2B (business-to-business) project sales environments or strong willingness to quickly build that competence.
- Readiness to adapt to and thrive in a high-performing, fast-paced, and development-driven culture.
Specialist-level:
- Demonstrated experience in managing proposal preparation and risk-optimized cost structures.
- Strong analytical skills in interpreting technical specifications, execution methods, and material selection.
- Ability to consult and challenge both customers and suppliers to align with optimal, feasible solutions.
- Knowledge of or strong motivation to adopt modern bidding technologies, CRM systems, and automation tools.
- Solid understanding of B2B project business dynamics, including customer buying behaviour and long-term project execution requirements.
- Strong ability to operate effectively in a high-performing, proactive, and continuously evolving business environment.
