As a Project Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating daily affairs and tasks associated with ship interior projects. Your primary workplace will be at Merima’s office in Meyer Turku Shipyard. The responsibilities include, among others:
- Providing support to the project team in project administrative tasks, such as shipyard entry pass applications, organizing accommodations, travels, events, and general communication within the project team as well as various other project-specific admin tasks.
- Assisting Purchasers in purchasing operations by preparing purchase orders, tracking orders for timely delivery, checking the accuracy of purchase invoices, and supporting subcontractors in permit and liability documentation.
Having a commercial or technical education, along with relevant work experience in similar roles, is considered a plus. Success in this role requires a effective communication skills, skills to organize your own work efficiently, teamwork skills, and the ability to handle changing situations. Having the capacity to quickly adapt to new IT systems is advantageous, and a willingness to utilize the phone for communication is crucial. You will engage in daily communication with the project team, subcontractors, customers, and external service providers to ensure seamless and efficient collaboration. Fluency in both Finnish and English is required.
