Merima has published its first Sustainability Report, marking an important milestone in the company’s journey toward greater transparency and more systematic sustainability management. The report has been prepared in accordance with the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs (VSME), using both the Basic and Comprehensive modules.
The report provides an overview of Merima’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and lays the foundation for future sustainability development and reporting. It also reflects the company’s commitment to integrating sustainability into business operations and decision-making.

Among the key highlights of the report are:
- Completion of Merima’s first double materiality assessment, identifying climate change, circular economy, own workforce and business conduct as the company’s most material sustainability topics.
- Calculation of Merima’s first Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions inventory and completion of a comprehensive climate risk assessment.
- Continued investment in employee development and a strong focus on occupational health and safety with a long-term objective of zero accidents.
- Strengthening governance through updated ethical principles, a supplier code of conduct, data protection initiatives and enhanced cybersecurity governance.
